Annual Wellness Exams
A nose-to-tail physical exam is the foundation of your pet's healthcare. During a wellness visit, we:
- Assess weight, body condition, and muscle mass
- Examine eyes, ears, teeth, and gums
- Listen to the heart and lungs
- Palpate the abdomen and lymph nodes
- Evaluate skin and coat condition
- Check joints and mobility
- Discuss behavior, diet, and lifestyle
We recommend annual exams for healthy adult pets, and every 6 months for senior pets (7+ years) or those with health conditions.
Vaccinations
We offer core and lifestyle-based vaccines for dogs and cats, tailored to your pet's age, lifestyle, and risk factors.
- Dogs: Rabies, DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza), Bordetella, Leptospirosis, Canine Influenza, Lyme
- Cats: Rabies, FVRCP (feline distemper, rhinotracheitis, calicivirus), FeLV (feline leukemia)
Parasite Prevention
Year-round parasite prevention is essential in Southern California. We recommend and prescribe:
- Flea and tick prevention
- Heartworm prevention — required in our region
- Intestinal parasite screening and deworming
Nutrition & Weight Management
Obesity is one of the most common preventable health problems in pets. We'll evaluate your pet's body condition score and give you practical guidance on diet, portion control, and maintaining a healthy weight throughout their life.
